When should you ignore technicals?

When the world is falling apart, technicals have to match the news.

I know what I’m about to say is stating the obvious, but tomorrow the market is going to collapse, rally, or quickly go in both directions.

It will finish much higher, much lower, or nearly the same. There is no in between.
